About
I’m a husband, dog owner and a programmer.
Professionally, I program in C#, Matlab and Python for the financial industry. More specifically I work in the derivatives trading world – I am involved in creating automated trading strategies/systems, designing trading applications for market makers/traders and I assist in designing a backtesting framework for historical tick by tick studies.
Off the clock I like learning about functional programming languages specifically Haskell and F#. My primary language is Objective-c and Cocoa, I hope to release some mac/iPhone apps soon.
My programming style is simple, streamlined and succinct. Why? Because complexity scares me, it’s that simple.
I graduated (Magna Cum Laude) from Drexel University with a Masters of Science in Computer and Information Science, a Bachelors of Science in Information Systems and a Minor in Business with internships at Lehman Brothers and Susquehanna International Group under my belt.
Lastly, this blog is focused primarily on programming languages, software design, development and engineering and anything else that comes to mind about these topics.
